It is my sad duty to report the passing of one of our senior members David Hobbs. David passed away at home on Wednesday 23rd December. David joined the RN on 7th June 1943 and was discharged on the 15th June 1946 with the rating of AMA 1st Class. He served on HMS Indefatigable – 894 Squadron. ( Spitfires) His decorations included the Atlantic Star 1939-45 , Burma Defence Star and Pacific Clasp.
Due to the holiday period funeral details are not yet available but will be in the newspapers sometime after Tuesday (30/12/15). It is anticipated that the funeral will be sometime during the week commencing 4th January.
