It is with sadness and regret that I must inform you of the passing of Greg Dawes, who passed away on 30th April 2024 at the age of 65. He was a wonderful father to Sarah and Andrew, Amy & Mariano and Chris and partner Gailda, adored Grandfather to Ava, Nahuel, Matias and Arlie, and loved son-in-law to Marion.
Greg joined the RAN in June of 1976 and discharged thirty years later with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He primarily served at HMAS Albatross and on 723 and 816 Squadrons.
Greg’s funeral will held at the FAA MUSEUM on Tuesday 7th May at 14.30 hrs. You are requested to wear cheerful colours.
