We have been advised by the daughter of Philip Beck that he passed away in Adelaide on Sunday 8th September 2024.
Philip John Beck was born in Adelaide on 19 March 1950 and enlisted in that city in July of 1966 for a 12 year engagement. He discharged in July 1989 as a CPO ATA4, having served at Albatross, and aboard Melbourne, Moresby, Stalwart and Tobruk. After discharging he returned to South Australia.
The following notice was released by his family:
“Our father, Phil Beck, ex Chief Petty Officer Royal Australian Navy and former citizen of the Nowra community, died in Adelaide this week. Rest in peace, Dad, from your loving family.”
