I wish to advise that Doug Sutherland passed away on 1 November 2020 at Chatham NSW.
Doug joined the FAA in 1959 from Yackandandah near Albury. He was a qualified motor mechanic and joined as a Naval Airman (Engines). He was among the original Tracker personal and enjoyed a 14 months stay in the USA in the late 60’s. I believe he eventually made the rank of Warrant Officer and was at one time the President of the Chief’s Mess at Albatross. He left the Navy in the early 1980’s and eventually ended up at Chatham (near Taree) in NSW . He is survived by his wife Rosemarie and family.
